My classes are small with only 6 or 7 dogs and last for approximately 60 minutes. They are very relaxed and friendly. Well behaved children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult. People are always welcome to come and watch any of the classes, why not come and see why we are so popular (please don’t bring dogs to watch)

The training is designed to teach pets dogs good manners and is structured around the Kennel Club Good Citizenship Dog Scheme for Bronze, Silver and Gold awards it is strictly kind, fair, reward based training. No choke/check chains allowed. If your dog has passed the Gold standard, classes are only £6 a week. I currently have 41 dogs still attending after passing their gold awards, because they enjoy it so much.

The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme is the largest dog training scheme in the UK. Its aim is to promote responsible dog ownership and in turn, enhance our relationship with our pets and to make the community aware of the benefits associated with dog ownership. The scheme is non competitive and is open to dogs of all ages and all breeds, whether kennel club registered or not.’

Further details of the scheme can be found on the kennel club website at

(people not interested in taking GCD scheme are also very welcome in the classes)

I’m very sorry but due to high popularity all classes currently have a minimum 10 month waiting list, please contact me as soon as possible or even better before you bring your dog home.

All dogs attending these classes must already have a good level of training and be able to cope in a class environment around other dogs.

Classes are run one Sunday morning every other month for an hour and we teach many different skills which can earn the dogs a badge just like the Scouts.

There is no waiting list for these classes but numbers are limited. If you would like to join please contact me.

Our GCDS Successes

Up until April 2020 we have passed 290 dogs for Bronze, 179 dogs for Silver and 108 dogs for Gold.

Congratulations to all of them.
